PICNIC CLUB / EST. 2021
THE STORY
SO FAR.
A fish, 50 shirts, a college dorm, a few pop-ups, a store on wheels, and a lot of people who made it possible.
AUGUST 2021
A fish. A garage. 50 shirts.
My aunt showed me how to print a real bluefish onto a shirt. I caught the fish, ordered 50 cream tees, and made 25 green prints and 25 black prints in the garage with my mom. Friends and family bought them over Venmo. That was the beginning.

2021–2022
The dorm-room years.
Back at High Point, I settled on Picnic Club and started making what I wanted to wear. The first mockup was the lavender OG hoodie. Lynne at Cars Custom Embroidery helped turn ideas into real pieces. A roach problem in my dorm even inspired Smokin’ Roaches. There were patches, hats, and plenty of experiments.

SUMMER 2022
Taking it outside.
I built my own racks, bent hangers, packed the clothes, and started doing pop-ups in Montauk, including Soul Ace. I loved seeing people react to the work in person. The friends helping out and the customers coming by made it all feel real.

FALL 2022
A hat that helped.
For Hurricane Ian Relief ’22, I made a fundraising hat, raised money and donated it. It was a small way to use Picnic Club for something beyond clothes.

2022–2023
A little bit of everything.
Shorts, terry cloth, mugs, keychains, custom colors, new prints, and lots of photo shoots. I bought the equipment, worked with friends and models, and kept learning. The fun part was always figuring out how to bring the next idea to life.

2023
A store on wheels.
After winning $5,000 in a High Point entrepreneurship competition, I put that money together with help from family, friends, and my own savings to build a mobile store. I ordered a trailer from Georgia, had it wrapped, and built the cabinets and interior myself. It went on to pop-ups in High Point, Montauk, and Nyack. Mark at Screen Print You helped make the clothes behind it all possible.

2024–NOW
Back to what I like about it.
I graduated, started working full-time in finance and technology, and eventually sold the trailer. Things got quieter for a while. Now I'm focusing on the part I always liked most: making designs, trying ideas, working with good people, and spotting someone wearing something I made. The next chapter includes letting people make their classic PC hoodies their own way.

WHAT IT IS
Picnic Club is an independent clothing project built around the things I like: comfortable clothes, fishing, the outdoors, good ideas, and not taking any of it too seriously.
I want to keep it fun, personal, and simple. No big master plan. Just good things for the life you live.
THE PEOPLE
None of this happened alone.
My parents, my sister, Toni, Lynne at Cars Custom Embroidery, Mark at Screen Print You, all my friends and family, every customer, and everyone who has ever shared a post or even just hit like—thank you. PC has reached much further than I ever imagined from that garage, and I'm excited to see where it goes next.
